It was July of 2017 that we packed up Scarlett + my parents and headed to our hotel in Carson City, NV. to prepare for Casey + Jen's wedding. It was a beautiful drive as we came into King's Beach on North Shore...the weather was perfect and the water was gorgeous, as always. We made a stop at Safeway to tinkle and grab some snacks before heading on in to Carson City.
Once we unloaded at the hotel we spent the evening treating my parents to a fancy steak dinner as a thank you for coming all this way with us to babysit our 3 month old. After dinner we headed back to our hotel to get some rest for the big day.
Saturday was a perfect day for a wedding. Lonnie + I arrived at the church, St. Johns In the Wilderness (Yes, that's the real name) early to get some drone footage and detail shots and from there the dream lived on. Everything flowed wonderfully and it helped having one of the chillest brides ever to work with. The wedding was so classy and the venue was perfect. It was an intimate crowd but they were full of life and so welcoming. As things were winding down at the reception, Jen told me a couple of their friends brought their paddle boards and went on to say that her and Casey were going to get on them. At this point I am pretty sure my jaw dropped and my heart came out of my eyes! I was in disbelief, it was like she was giving me the best present ever!
Lonnie and I followed Jen and Casey down to the water and EVERYONE who attended the wedding followed as well. Before I knew it people were in the water on paddle boards and I was a kid in a candy store. As you can see from the pictures below...it was an unreal day and I thank Jesus for my 70-200!
